The answers to 7 questions about Botox in London

Botox in London
With our seventh clinic offering Botox in London about to open, it’s fair to say that we’ve heard all the questions there are about getting Botox treatment. As Europe’s leading aesthetic clinic, we also know all the answers. So, here are the answers to seven questions we are frequently asked.

How does Botox work?
Many people think that Botox “freezes” their face. However, this is untrue. The active ingredient in anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox, in fact, relax the muscles allowing the wrinkles to smooth out.

Is Botox permanent?
No. However, Botox treatment does last for up to four months, although this can vary from person to person.

What can Botox treat?

Botox injections are used to get rid of facial wrinkles and leave you with a smoother and more youthful appearance. Treatments such as Botox for the forehead are a popular option as you start to notice furrows appearing when they raise their eyebrows.

A slightly different treatment that’s growing in popularity is the Botox brow lift. As you age, the brow area can begin to droop, and anti-wrinkle injections can be used to reverse this.

Does Botox hurt?
Understandably, many people worry about having needles in the facial area and assume that it is going to be painful. However, the diameter of the needle we use is minimal. This minimises disruption and means that you only feel a small pinch.

It is for that reason that many people will still opt to treat more sensitive areas such as Botox for crow’s feet – the small lines that can appear at the corner of your eyes.

How much does Botox cost?
Botox prices are based on how many areas you have treated and start at £135. At Therapie Clinic, we believe in providing the best treatments at affordable prices which is why we also offer three areas of Botox for the price of two. This costs just £199.

Are there any side effects?
Botox side effects are minimal. You may experience a small amount of bruising at the site of the injection. This is why we ask you to avoid certain medications before your treatment as this will help to reduce any bruising.

There are a few things you’ll need to avoid for a few hours after your treatment, such as lying down and vigorous exercise. This prevents the Botox from slipping into other areas of your face. This is all fully explained during your post-treatment consultation.
