A Brief Guide To… The Mini Tummy Tuck
Everyone has an area on their body that they focus on when they look in the mirror. Most people also know how frustrating it can be to train hard and eat healthy only to find that you can’t quite shift those last few pounds.
It’s the reality of life but there is a treatment that might be able to help: the Mini Tummy Tuck. It is a non-surgical procedure which is said to get rid of stubborn fat located in and around the abdominal area.
Want to know more? Here are the basics…
What is it?
The Mini Tummy Tuck isn’t anything like the standard tummy tuck you’ve heard about. Instead, it uses controlled heating and cooling technology to target stubborn fat located on common problem areas including the stomach, hips, thighs and back. It slims, shrinks and shapes the body by melting fat cells away and reducing stubborn fat by up to 40 per cent. Better still, there is no surgery involved which means no scarring and no downtime.
What does it entail?
This sophisticated fat loss treatment breaks down fat cells in a non-invasive process involving heating and cooling techniques. It employs state of the art, FDA-approved slimming technology to target specific areas of the body and achieves a smooth and contoured effect whilst also reducing fat and toning curves.
How does it work?
In simpler terms, by applying heat and cold to fat deposits, fat cells are softened and become easy to manipulate. This has no effect on the surrounding skin or muscle tissue. The process shrinks the fat cells down to such an extent that they are effectively destroyed and flushed away through natural metabolic processes.
Who is it for?
The Mini Tummy Tuck caters for a wide range of body types including those who are at their optimum weight or those who simply want to target those last few bulges. Pregnant women cannot undergo the treatment but new mums can under the following guidelines:
- If you have had a vaginal delivery, you must wait until you have ceased breastfeeding or had your first period since giving birth before beginning treatment.
- If you have given birth via Caesarean section, you have to wait 12 months before beginning treatment.
For those post-pregnancy, we would recommend that you give us a call to arrange a free, confidential consultation about the procedure.
How long does it take?
The process begins with a consultation with one of our Thérapie Clinic specialists during which personal objectives are discussed. Our expert will then create a bespoke treatment plan tailored to your body shape and goals. This will determine the duration of the treatment and the number of sessions. The average treatment plan involves eight sessions which are completed during a two-month period.
When will I see results?
One of the best things about this treatment is the great results and how quick you can potentially see the effect. Some patients will see results within 15 days of each session, including after the first and second sessions. Furthermore, the fat cell detox continues for 90 days following the treatment.
Does it hurt?
There is no downtime following this particular treatment – which means that you don’t have to put your life on hold – however most patients find the first minute of the cooling treatment itself slightly uncomfortable. It is akin to a tingling sensation but once the fat cells reach the desired temperature, the sensation subsides. Meanwhile, the heating sensation is quite pleasant.
